These homes occupy a pie-shaped lot at the corner of Pinhey and Armstrong Streets in Hintonburg, a district just west of downtown Ottawa. The ensemble of compact houses is a collage of colours, forms and textures where its materiality makes reference back to the industrial heritage of the neighbourhood. Each home is two storeys with a partial third storey and each has an at-grade and rooftop amenity space. Designed by Colizza Bruni Architecture, the dwellings range in size from 800 to 1,100 square feet and embody an ethos of sustainable living. The homes form a highly communal environment and encourage interaction between the owners to create a sense of place.
